Francesca Folonari (Omkari) is the main teacher at Sivananda Yoga Firenze. She practices yoga since 1992 and teaches since 2004. Before opening the Florence centre in 2006, she was teaching and working as a volunteer (karma yogi) at the Sivananda Centre in London. In 2009 she received the advanced teacher’s training diploma and she participates regularly in further training programmes for teachers in the Sivananda Centres and Ashrams. She is member of staff for the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course, both as teacher and as simultaneous translator. Francesca teaches with great dynamism, attention to detail in the asanas and to a correct breathing, allowing for a practice where energy and relaxation are in balance. Francesca is a member of the Italian Association of Yoga Teachers (YANI) since 2006.

Claudia Becagli (Saraswati) is first drawn to Bhakti Yoga in 1988. From 1994 to 2010 she spends most of her time in India where she studies and practices Asthanga Vinyasa Yoga and where, from 2004, she starts teaching adults and kids. In 2008 she starts practicing in the Sivananda school and after receiving the Teachers Training diploma, in 2009, she receives the advanced diploma.
At Sivananda Yoga Firenze Claudia teaches regularly adults and kids classes; she also teaches in other centres in the province of Florence and cooperates with Villa Vrindavana (San Casciano). She has a diploma from UISP oriental studies in Bologna.

Lorenzo Poccianti (Achyuta) was first drawn to yoga in 1996 following his interest to develop a healthy body and a balanced, positive mind. He starts practicing yoga in London, where he moves to pursue his career as a photographer. There he attends classes in all major yoga styles, from Iyengar to Ashtanga. His growing passion for yoga takes him several times to India where he follows courses in Ayurveda, Vipassana meditation and where, in 2010, he receives the Diploma from the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course. He teaches regularly at Sivananda Yoga Firenze as well as privately.

Bianca Francioni, mime teacher, trained at the “Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame Marcel Marceau” in Paris where, from 1995 to 1998, she followed courses taught by the great master. After graduating, she moved back to Italy and started her career as a mime, performing and creating pantomime for adults and kids. In the years she has developed an interest for teaching which lead her to found, in 2006, the Mime School of Fiesole (Florence) where she is the Artistic and Academic Director. In 2007 she started practicing yoga at Sivananda Yoga Firenze and in 2008, together with Francesca, has created the Yoga & Mime course for kids which she currently teaches with Claudia.
